Microneedling

Microneedling or also known as collagen induction therapy is a clinically proven method of collagen induction without laser. Microneedling is perhaps the most successful treatment available for aging and acne scaring. This technique causes minimally invasive precision micro-injuries of the epidermis and dermis.

What is Microneedling?

Microneedling is also referred to as Collagen Induction Therapy. Microneedling uses special needles to create thousands of micro lesions in the skin. These micro lesions allow topical products to penetrate easier and this controlled damage allows the wound to heal slowly and correctly, rather than in emergency mode. The damaged skin is replaced with new skin that has improved structure and elasticity.

What are the benefits?

  • Restored structural integrity

  • Improve elasticity

  • Improved texture

  • Reduced pore size

  • Evens out pigmentation

  • Improved appearance of scars

  • Improved appearance of stretch marks

  • Improves volume of skin

Microneedling Benefits:

  • Lax skin

  • Wrinkles

  • Brown spots

  • Sun damage

  • Stretch marks

  • Acne scars

  • Decreasing pigment with melanin more evenly dispersed

Microneedling vs. IPL / Laser Skin Rejuvenation

Microneedling is safe, there is no risk of burning clients, there are very little side effects from microneedling and it provides superior results. Microneedling, however, does not treat vascular lesions. Microneedling does not create heat in the skin like traditional laser skin rejuvenation.

Will Microneedling hurt?

A topical numbing cream will be applied to minimize discomfort, some find there is no pain or discomfort at all during the treatment.
Post treatment the treated area will be tender with mild redness that should diminish within a day or two.

How many treatments will I need?

Typically to see maximum results for collagen induction therapy you will need 3 treatments, spaced 4 - 6 weeks apart. For scars, the amount of treatments may vary between 6 - 10. To find out how many treatments you will need, book a free consultation with a certified therapist today.
